Minty Guitar Amp

I just finished soldering a Minty guitar amp for my friend, Eric. I’ve had the kit for a while, but I just recently bought some decent tools to assemble it.

Here’s what I used:

  • Adjustable soldering iron at 410 degrees
  • Flux in an easy-to-use syringe applicator
  • Extra set of hands (the robot looking thing with aligator clips and a magnifying glass)
  • Wire cutters
  • Strippers (not the fun ones)
  • Small pliers
  • Hemostat
  • Music
  • Minty amp kit available from http://www.mintyamps.com/store/
  • Multimeter
  • Probably some other stuff I forgot

Anyways, the kit is only $5, and if you already have all the standard equipment, it makes for a fun time.

Here’s what it looks like:
